Create Your Book

Tick the formats you want and choose Create. Your files appear in the folder Export/_build, each with a timestamp, so every version stays.

Formats

• Word (DOCX) with real styles, a table of contents, page numbers and your cover.
• EPUB 3 for e-readers and shops, with a clean navigation. EPUB 2 is there for older devices.
• PDF for print, made on the desktop.
• Markdown, one combined manuscript.

What every format has

The title page shows title, subtitle, edition text and author. Then come the imprint, the table of contents and the chapters. Pictures are placed in the text and keep their colors. The cover comes first and the back cover last, if you switched them on.

The EPUB check

After every EPUB the plugin checks the file: package, metadata, navigation, links, pictures and identifiers. It tells you in plain words what to fix, so your file is ready for the shops. A stable identifier is built from your ISBN.

Open and read

When the book is created it opens in the reader, so you can check the result at once. The panel shows pages and words again, now exact.
