Book Details and Shop Data

Book details

Title, subtitle, author, edition, publisher, ISBN, language and page format. Click Save and the values go to the file meta.yaml in the export folder, and the matching lines of the imprint are updated.

Pages and words

Two fields fill themselves and cannot be edited: Pages and Words. The words are counted from your chapters, without the imprint and the contents. The pages come from the latest PDF of the book, with the time shown below, so you always know how current the number is. Before the first PDF the plugin gives an estimate from words, font and page format.

Data for shops

Online shops ask for many details. The card Data for shops keeps them all in one place:

• Edition text, for example GEN Z EDITION. It appears under the subtitle on the title page.
• Series and the number in the series.
• Original title, subtitle in English, original language, release date, age rating, editor and item number.
• Description, keywords, author bio and the genres for BISAC, VLB and THEMA.

Description, keywords, series and release date are written into the EPUB, so the shop finds them inside the file. Everything saves itself after a short pause, or with Save.

Sample excerpt

Choose a length from 300 to 2500 words and click Create from the book. The plugin collects the text from the first chapter on, skips imprint, contents and author page, and stops at the end of a paragraph. Copy puts it on the clipboard for the shop form.
